Meet Dr. Daniel Gonzalez

Dr. Daniel Gonzalez is a dedicated Internal Medicine physician with a unique and inspiring journey in healthcare that spans more than 15 years. Before earning his medical degree, Dr. Gonzalez began his healthcare career as a radiologic technologist. That early experience provided a strong foundation in patient care and diagnostic imaging, ultimately inspiring him to pursue a deeper role in medicine. His bilingual background and compassionate approach helped him connect meaningfully with patients.

Driven by a desire to build on his medical knowledge and take a more active role in patient care, Dr. Gonzalez earned his medical degree from a private university in Costa Rica, where he embraced the challenges of training in a new environment. He graduated in the top 5% of his class and gained extensive clinical experience across both community clinics and hospital settings. His time abroad deepened his commitment to equitable, hands-on, and patient-centered care—values that continue to guide his practice today.

Dr. Gonzalez is sharpening his skills as a hospitalist at HCA Kendal Hospital. He has extensive clinical experience in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart failure, and he is passionate about preventive health and geriatric medicine. His approach to patient care is rooted in compassion, evidence-based medicine, and a commitment to long-term wellness.

Inspired by his family’s legacy of service and resilience, especially his grandfather, a Cuban immigrant who fulfilled his dream of becoming a pediatrician later in life, Dr. Gonzalez believes that quality care is rooted in trust, empathy, and prevention. Following in the footsteps of both his grandfather and uncle, he brings a deep respect for hard work and human connection to every patient interaction.
