Meet Dr. Daniel Gonzalez

Dr. Daniel Gonzalez is a dedicated Internal Medicine physician with a unique and inspiring journey in healthcare that spans more than 15 years. Beginning his career as a radiologic and MRI technician in South Florida, he developed a deep understanding of patient care and a passion for working with underserved communities. His bilingual background and compassionate approach helped him connect meaningfully with patients, many of whom were Spanish-speaking migrant families in rural Miami-Dade County.

Driven to deepen his medical knowledge and serve patients more fully, Dr. Gonzalez pursued his medical degree at a private university in Costa Rica. Immersed in a new culture and language, he rose to the challenge—graduating in the top 5% of his class and gaining extensive clinical experience in both community clinics and hospitals. His time abroad shaped his belief in equitable, hands-on, and patient-centered care.

Currently completing a Transitional Year Residency at Kendall Regional Medical Center, Dr. Gonzalez is sharpening his skills through diverse rotations in internal medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, and critical care. His training emphasizes procedural excellence, teamwork, and leadership—values he brings into every patient interaction.

Inspired by his family’s legacy of service and resilience—especially his grandfather, a Cuban pediatrician—Dr. Gonzalez believes that quality care is rooted in trust, empathy, and prevention. At South Florida Medicine, he is proud to help patients take proactive steps toward long-term health, and is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care for every stage of life.
